Nickel plating is used as a base plating for decorative chrome, tin, and alloy plating, and is also used for copper alloy products to prevent corrosion.
Copper conducts electricity easily, however, unfortunately, oxidizes in the atmosphere. With tin plating it is possible to protect the surface of the copper product and maintain its electrical properties.
Hard chrome plating, also referred to as industrial chrome plating, has high hardness, excellent wear, heat and corrosion resistance. It is used for various materials such as carbon steel and stainless steel, that are used for parts of industrial machines, machine tools, construction machines, hydraulic equipment and others.
Nickel chrome plating is collectively referred to as decorative plating. Its coating is hard and it has excellent wear resistance, heat resistance, as well as mould releasing characteristics. It can also express various appearances such as gloss, hairline and satin.
Electroless nickel plating is using a chemical reduction method that deposits a nickel plating film on the surface of the material without using electricity. Since the plating film thickness is uniform, it is suitable for complicated shapes and also when dimensional accuracy is required.
